A safe and inspiring leisure environment
Our after-school program is open 06.00-17.30. Morning after-school care gives children the opportunity for a calm start to the day. After-school activities create a safe and stimulating environment where children can develop both socially and individually. We offer a balance between free play and structured activities, adapted to children’s interests and needs. By encouraging creativity, movement and cooperation, children have the opportunity to explore, learn and strengthen their self-esteem. Leisure activities are based on good relationships between staff and children, where each individual is seen and listened to.
Children's free time should be filled with activities that enrich and enrich
This can involve playing games together, doing arts and crafts, playing chess, floorball or just relaxing on the sofa with a good book. Outdoor activities are offered every day to promote exercise and good health. Leisure staff present the activities and link them to the aims and objectives. They often work thematically with different themes related to the pupils’ school day. These themes then permeate the week’s activities and often end on Friday with something a little extra. How about delicious iced drinks with melons, grilled sandwiches or freshly baked scones for a snack?
The mission and objectives of the after-school program according to the curriculum
Fritidshemmet follows the first and second parts of the curriculum, the school’s values and mission, and overall goals and guidelines for education. Fritidshemmet also has its own part, part 4 with purpose and central content.
The aim of leisure activities is to create a holistic approach where care, learning and leisure work together to promote children’s development and well-being.
