In May 2026, a trip to Rome is planned for a working group that will begin preparations for Lingua’s 20th anniversary celebration. The anniversary is intended to be marked with a shared trip to Rome in the autumn of 2027.
Rome is a city rich in history, culture, and educational traditions, particularly through its connection to Maria Montessori and her work in Italy. It was in Italy that Maria Montessori developed her educational philosophy — a vision of the child’s innate potential, freedom with responsibility, and education as a pathway to peace. Returning to the roots of Montessori education in the spirit of this anniversary gives us the opportunity both to honor our origins and to deepen our professional identity.
